Hi there gurus..
I have emailed this one to couple of Thunder genius here in these forums.
Have got a great reply and can see that I'm on the right track.
But it is always interesting to hear from others out there.
I own a Thunder 1000 year 2000. Right now, I 'm installing ATACC. You can see the mod's I have made, down below and what I have bought and what I want to do in the future, it's a lot of stuff. I already have a Black Magic pipes, RK-Tek mono head, VForce3, Power-breather, clutch kit etc..
Also I'm stretching it a bit. Put 151 rails from 900m sled, 2 1/4" finger-track, big wheel behind, 8 tooth extrowert.
I have a few questions for you!
1) Which gearing should I be running. The 8-tooth extrowert is smaller than the original. I'm looking for ability in hills and speed! (best combo) I guess I would like something around 2.0
2) Which needle, pilot etc.. -29 on sea level. Remember, I will use ATACC.
3) Any idea which silencer for diet and no loss of hp!
4) Any idea I should change the mounts of skids when stretching from 121 - 151? Moving backward an 2-3" maybe?
5) How loose can I have the track with extrowert, ca.?
6) CDI question. I have heard that the CDI is a failure in 2000. Do you know how it is a failure and do you know if it is enough to change it with 2001 CDI? What about +2 degree timing key, with or without 2001 cdi?
7) And last and not least of important, which clutch kit, springs, weights etc do you recommend.. I don't like BM weights, it is a racing one.
