If you dont want to rejet every temperature change, it sounds like a tempaflow is the exact product you need. :div20:

Snowchild,I also live in northern wisc and have a prox800.I was told by a knowledgable polaris setup guy to gut the box and install 430's.Two turns on the fuel screws and one on the air screw from slightly seated. This seems to really clean them up.Pm pockets,he will set you up.Trust me!!!! :beerchug:

last year I changed my jetting, I ran 430 mains, needle in the 4th position, small changed to the air screws, never touched the air box. I put 2000+ miles on it last winter. The changes really cleaned it up, performed 100 times better and fuel milage improved. I use to get around 9 mpg on a good day, now I am around 14 on a good day. I was consitantly better on fuel than the powertecs I ride with. At the start of last year I wanted to sell it, after last year I am keeping one more winter for sure.

I also ran from Plus 10 to minus 15, I kept close eye on the plugs as I thought It may have been to lean, never had a problem. I put 1000 miles at sea level and another 1000 miles at 2000 feet, no problem.

well if you want the most of the engine then you will have to rejet or buy a Holtzman tempaflow, but 450 mains are pig rich, gut the airbox and use 430 main jets instead.. the sled runs a 100 times better.. this is good to atleast -15°F at sea level or more, 450 is stock and these sleds never ran good with these in.. just my 2c :beerchug:
