I ride a '94 MXz 470. Newer track, no studs.
The track makes a terribly loud howling sound at any speed. Its not the track tension and its not the side to side track alignment (adjusted at rear idlers).
Next, i'm going to check the drive sprocket alignment and rear skid / tunnel alignment.
It even makes this noise while coasting (under no power).
Has anyone ever had this problem and been able to fix it????
The noise has been getting worse every season since I bought the sled (3 years ago). :banghead:

Nope, replaced all bearings in the entire sled last season.

have you tried the bearing on the jack shaft ? also check your track very closely for rub marks on tunnel ,inside of track where all the wheeles ride, if you jack up the sled an run it safley with track off the groung to see if you can isolate it down a little
