Has anyone tryed to widening there foot boards? I guess thats what u would call it, on a edge 2001 to make it wide like the new ones, they are much better when wide for foot placement. or is there a kit out there to do so? thanks

My yes, was to a product available. I did not use their kit. I have installed there foot grips- (the little pieces you rivet to the boards) and they are high quality pieces. I would think some snow may get caught under them, but once it is filled you should be able to kick out anything that comes over them. :beerchug:

i have the sledtreds on my 01 edge. they work great! there is actually a small foam panel and a plastic trim panel that fit under the sledtred so there is no snow under there. if you do alot of offtrail, you may want to get the extensions for the sledtreds if you have wide feet like i do. i am getting the extensions this year.
