I think there are quite a few of us that ride in that area. I have a cottage on the other side of 62, south of Trudy's...... welcome to the board.

Thanks all....

It is a great area, but I've only been there for the last couple of years. Otherwise we were out in the Rideau Lakes area...the snow is getting worse there.

We've been over the ice in our truck a few times but I'm tired of sweating the ride!!! I hear from neighbours that the trails are awsome there and cant wait to get on them.

We're not too far from Tanglewood...close to the enterance to Otter Lake.

What the hell's a weslemkoon ? dunno.gif

Been going there since birth and bought the cedar place on the cliff in Sundy Cove 8 years ago. Great low traffic area, especially with kids, tucked between the Paudash and Mazinaw clubs, 30 mins to the Moosehorn or 45 to Bancroft. Hope to go up right from home this year and from there thru QC for a 4 day'r. Last year there was OFSC signs right to Smiths Landing and the trail was widened and groomed.

Keep in touch with conditions and maybe put a ride together with some fellow HCS'rs

Thanks Tinker, I look forward to some rides this winter.....first goal though is to get a sled!!!! more posts to come looking for some advise.

We bought Randall's place last Feb, over by the trail to Mink Lake.

We dock at Smith's Landing and were up last winter (I think the second weekend in March) and there were drag races down by the light house. There must have been 15 or 20 trucks or so and countless sleds and ATVs out there.

hhmmm...I hear Weslemkoon means lake of the BEAVER, don't tell anyone, the place will be packed!

Get to know the cottage #'s if you're gonna be out there at night, she can be a real treat sometimes.

I'd be up for it. Love the area.

SHHHHH, keep this area quiet, I like it when I have the trails to myself over that way. From the secret Northeast Sno.com test facility on Glanmire lake we venture over Weslemekoon way quite often. Some of my favorite trails in the province over that way.
