Just curious on how many updates have been issued for the 2005 Mach Z and exactly what they are. I recently purchased a very clean used Mach and would like to know this info before I have the VIN # ran at the local dealer. Also, is there a website that you can run this Vin thru or is this info something only a dealer can have access to ?

if the previous owner took care of the sleds all the updates were already done. but here is what i can remember there was a recall on the clutch i believe because it could come apart at high speeds,remapping issue,support welds on the frame i believe it was for motor mounts. thats about all i can remember. hope it helps.

Also, there is one for a heat indicating sensor that gets put into the muffler. Look at the muffler if there is a sensor in it then this recall has been done. Another is a new fuel pump. They had problems with the fuel pump no being able to keep up running wide open. If you have an electric start version there is a recall on the electric start pinion gear. I had a 05 and got these upgrades except for the electric start pinion gear because I traded it in this year. However, rode about 1500-1600 miles this past winter and did not have one ounce of trouble. Fastest damn thing on snow!! Had the speedo reading 123 mph!! I am sure it is not to accurate at that speed.

Thanks for your reply's - I will check the Vin at the dealer and check to see if the probe is in the muffler. I read alot about this sled and it sounds like for the most part that everyone likes the 05 mapping compared to what's available now - True ?

There was some 05 that not could handling the new program, so we had to reprogram them back to the stock settings. If you don`t have some problems with your mach`z do not get it programed.

just got the recall today in the mail for the ring gear. called the dealer and these should be in within the next few days.

it has a patch for the e-rave yes you need it!

also have your dealer order your ring gear or you will have to wait untill they auto ship to the dealer where it was sold

if the new program turns out bad, you can allways go back to the old one
