Just looked at a Phazer at the dealer and the sleds seems like it'd be a ton of fun. I just worry about being uncomfortable from the seat on a 100+ mile day. The narrowness could really make for a sore bum, even though the ride and handling appear to be A-1. Any thoughts???

Maybe not a fair comparison, but the other sleds I'm looking at are $9,000 to $10,000k otd. Cat lxr 600 or 800 with track swap. This'll be a 2nd sled as I have a 04 renegade 600ho too.

No reason to spend $9000- 10 000 on a second sled. Personally to me a second sled is something to ride around and have fun on or let someone borrow for a day and not have to worry about it getting completely trashed. Buy the phazer. If its a really cold day and you re concerned with being cold take out the primary sled for the day.

You might want to look at the 500 Crossfire or 500 LXR if you want the same power as the Phazer.

The phazer looks like it'd be an awesome 2-3 hour machine. It's the 6-12 hours day where I think the old ass would get really sore. I'm kinda trying to avoid the 1st year depreciation hit, and if we have another bad winter here in MN, which has been the usual lately, there could be a ton of leftover cats over the next year or two, which hammers resale even more. I really love the new f series by cat and am leaning that way for my next sled. A holdover crossfire 7 would be $2-3k cheaper, but the LXR cats seem to have the perfect seating position for me. A little better than my 04 rev and the crossfires. I'm rarely over 75mph, but do like fast acceleration. I've had to sell a few sleds with low mileage because I tend to be all over the new sleds with better ride and handling.
