Well UPS just so happened to stop by a few moments ago to drop off a present in a box the size of a dorm room refrigerator. So I open the box nice and slowly being careful, first reading the invoice, then reading the directions. As I sit on the garage floor barefoot, in my pajamas; opening up the box and folding over the flaps I give myself a massive papercut on my big toe (i know, i know, must not have been too careful). Well I continue opening and I glance over to see blood oozing out of my toe. Well needless to say I stop to attend to my battle wound. This is where being a med student pays off. I'm now at my kitchen table cleaning up and for the first time I was my own patient. I now have 2 butterflies going across my toe, but thats ok because there is a nice big box full of presents waiting for me in the garage. So I get back out there and start to remove packaging material for what seemed like forever (just like this post). I get about halfway through standing in a pile of paper and I finally find it. My exhaust has arrived. Thanks to shadetree and the 18 yrs. old employee that they sent to work the Big East show last weekend I received an SLP exhaust with the ceramic coated pipe, y-pipe, and silencer for $412.89 with free shipping to my house. It was a sweet deal that I couldn't pass up, plus I knew the kid didn't know what he was talking about the 20% discount, so he saved me almost $150 if i was to order one directly from SLP. So it looks like I'm done ordering go fast goodies for this season and I'll be waiting until next years show and hope this kid is still there so he can sell me more stuff cheaper than what they are sapost to be sold for. If my parents didn't borrow my digital camera I would take a picture of my huge smile just to show everyone how happy I really am.

It sounds like you got a great deal.

I just got the new Shade Tree catalog, and I saw two SLP pipes advertised for the Pro-X 700. One is described as follows: Ceramic-coated pipe and silencer with black painted Y-pipe--$394.99. The other is described as follows: Ceramic-coated pipe, silencer, and Y-pipe--$516.99. (Both deals qualify for free shipping.) I assume you got the kit that includes ceramic coating on all parts...which means the person who sold you the exhaust probably looked at the pricing for the first pipe, not the second.

Thats what I thought too...but when I asked him about the other one he told me a price of $315 and some change. But as I thought about it and even though the black painted y-pipe was the better deal I deceided to spend the extra money. I called them the next day (monday) but it had already been shipped. But either way I got a great deal.

dang :banghead: :banghead: I just bought mine for $469.99 shipped to my door and thought that was a steal. Nice find. I was told by Shade Tree at the show that they did not have pipes. I'm assuming you ordered one on the spot from them at a discounted rate? Anyway, nice work/find/manipulating an 18yr. old. :div20:

Well I wasnt going to go to the show but it was a last minute thing and now I'm glad I did. It was worth the hour and a half drive. Hey I see that your from western ny too. Where do you ride, we should hook up sometime, I can introduce you to some other sledders that I hang out with on a regular basis that are around our age. They always make sledding a blast.

I live in hamburg, South of Buffalo. I usually just head south from there to eden, springville, and ellicottville. For now though I am at college in Oswego NY. I will be home for winter break.

Where are you from?
