I have an 02 800 xc sp with the stainless steel exhaust valves. I took the motor apart this fall to do some crank work and found that one of my exhaust valves has hit my piston. I put the valve into the cylinder now that it's off and the valve does go into the cylinder.

Anyone see this before? How should I fix this?

it would be good to see how far in the bore the valve actually goes..

you could double up on the ves assembly to cylinder gaskets??
