As I watch it snow outside, I think that harvest will probably be done for the year. We finished the last of the canola by combining all night till 9:30 this AM. Still have 420 acres of oats out and others I've talked to in the Humboldt area have crop out as well. How about other areas of the province or are we alone...

The old man finished up about 10 days ago. 60 miles east of regina. I think most around that area are done. Alot of crop still on the ground around calgary.

Still got 25 ac. of flax left out to combine. Not much snow on it so I'm hopin it's going to turn darn cold then I might be able to combine it other wise it'll be there till spring. Lots of crop out yet though. ( East of Prince Albert)

I think that we are done for the season. With the weather they are predicting for next week, it's going to be a May-June finish to the harvest. :banghead: Might fence off some of the oats for swath grazing in the low spots that will be pooched anyway. Good luck with your oats Ryan! :div20:

Was out on my flax again yesterday. It went threw for a little bit but as soon as the sun went behind the clouds for good that was it. We had to shut down. about 10 minutes after it clouded over it wraped up something terible in the front of the combine. I'm going to look at renting a different combine to try and get it off. It's a pretty good crop so I hate to lost it. I don't know what to look at renting though cause I don't know if there's anyting out there that will put threw tough flax straw.

What kinda combine are you running now? The conventional JD's will pretty much put anything through...There about as good as it gets....Hope you get it off....

We've got a 850 massey. It keeps wraping on those front padles in the feeder housing. By the looks of the forcast I might try it again near the end of the week. Thought about renting a TR something to try but some one else told me that it will just wrap in the feeder chain then when it lets go you've got a helluva job to unplug the rotors.
Part of the problem is it's swathed. If it was standing I think it would have gone threw allot easier.
