Any 900 owners adjust their air and fuel mixture screws? It idles hi until you hit the choke for a few seconds. My 800 did it and adjusting screws helped some what. Put .5 miles on this afternoon in the back yard. I really need snow to get the first ride on the new sled. Thanks for any help. B)

Which way did you adjust them?? My new 03 900 was idling high 2 weeks ago when I was riding. Do you mean adjusting the fuel screws to richen the lower end up??

Ken, went back to an old post on snowmobileworld.com and found that on my 800 the fuel was at 1.5 turns out and the air was at 3 turns out. I set them both at 2 turns out. Does the owners manual have anything to say about the 900? Mine is up north. Do you know where yours are set?

The hanging idle thing was a big subject last year when they came out with the 03's. Turn your carb air screws out. I did one half turn out on each to alleviate the high idle. :div20:

I have my fuel set at about 1 5/8" and the air screw at 2 turns. This has seemed to work well.

It must be leaking,The 900 is easy on fuel and mine has never bogged. Might need to clean the carbs. I dropped two jet sizes from stock Ran all of last year with out any troubles.

I noticed that the idle on my 900 would "hunt" from time to time. Turns out that they believe that air is bleeding past the flatslides at idle causing a lean condition and hence, the irratic idle. I installed a set of v-force 3 reeds and I will comment on them, they really woke this cat up. Along with the other MODS that I did, pipe, silencer, .020 key and a little trail porting, it was a beast before but now it is just plain stupid on the trails. I just wish it handled as good as the REV's. Sorry Dan

Mine is set each one air and fuel to 1.75 each that was where GLS AKA Greg Spaulding from cat said to start with and that was last year and I have not touched them since.Seems to run well. :div20:
