Will the hood off a 1980 Polaris TX fit a 1979 TX? Thanks
SnoKIng
I had a 1979 500 Centurian, (which was not a TX) and a 79 TXL 340

These liquid cooled hoods were the same for there respective 1980 counterparts. As I recall the only differences for the TX's were the holes in the hoods for the free air heads exposure. I believe the 79 and 80's TX's should be interchangeable. I'm not 100 % sure , but being a betting man I would go with that at even money.

The '79 and '80 TX hoods are not the same. The '80 hood is like the '79 and '80 TXL, but the '79 hood is totally different. The '80 has the gages in the hood also where the '79 does not.
