It's a 220 hp 900 t cat motor that Mike knapp did the porting on the cylinders and cases. The carbs are 44mm with the V force billit reed cages. the pipes are PSI cut to run 9800-9900RPM. I had to drop and roll the chain case to run 1.20 ice picks

El Thunder,
That El Tigre is cool as hell. Have you run it at the ice drags at the Antique Snowmobile Show at Waconia, Minnesota? I think you would eat up the competition. I hope you come to MN this year (last weekend in January).

fred smith has a 295 blizzard, 340 blizzard, 440 blizzard and a 800 blizzard. they are all between the '71 and '73 year models (non production blizzards). the blizzard in this thread is a '82 9500 production model.

Those pld race blizzards flew, I've got a book with them in it and some of those sleds old sleds went well over 100mph, which is crazy, the 1982 is mine in this thread, she has some long legs, well over 100mph, ask the ball buster he was a little nervous going a 100 on it, those old leaf springs aren't so forgiving. It's very fast and I get a lot of looks, and I love beating the guys who think there brand new 1 liters (1000's)can beat everything.

They did not make a triple 1982 Blizzard.
They did not make a triple 1982 Blizzard. That engine is out of a later sled.
