03 ZR 900 where is the connector for a heated shield connector?

Yes there is. It's located by the steering post. Take the cover off were the key goes in. It is held by two screws . There will be a two wire plug in there. If you start the sled and put a multimeter on it you should get 12 volts dc. I went to the local auto parts store and got a two wire connector for about 5 bucks. I drilled a small hole in the middle of the middle cover and feed the cord ( the one that the the cord from the sheld plugs into) threw. I then put a wire tie around it and epoxyed it in from the back . This way it would not pull out when unpluggin the main cord. Soldered my cord to it pluged in the connector. I have never had it get in the way or had to fiddle with it. My buddy has his just running up next to the steering post but It gets tangled up pretty easy. If I had a digital camera I would show you picks but I don't. It a very neat and clean install. imo.gif Good luck
