Just tried the sled tonite for the first time this year. (MXZ 800 03). Couldn't get a pop until I put a dribble of gas directly in the cylinders. When I pull it over, it catches first pull, but seems to run for as long as there is fresh gas only. Thoughts? Bad gas? carbs gummed up? I put some fresh gas in ... but seems like it's not making it's way through. Anyway I can drain the carbs to make sure the fresh stuff is getting in?
thx.

Remove the gas cap and pressurize the gas tank by blowing air into it,then see if it will run.If the gas is from early spring it should fire.If you stll have no luck i would inspect the fuel pump.

looks like all is well again. put in a few gallons of fresh 91 octane yesterday, primed it again directly in the cylinders, and when she fired up ..... stumbled a little ... then idled away - smooth as can be. Gas must have been stale or too concentrated with stabilizer? Anyway ... just glad it was nothing serious ...

CLEAN THE CARBS. I work for a dealership and that is the number one reason why sleds burn down is people don't clean the carbs. The jets get pluged up and the sled runs lean and burns down. People quit being lazy.
