Great deal on set for the XCR!

Is that the boyesen rad valve 65 kit? I've been told the 65 is the one that offers significant performance/ throttle response gains.

We have the RAD vavles for Polaris (XC or XCR) for $199.

RAD 652 or RAD 663.

PM me if interested.

any real performance gains on a typical trail sled vs. just new boysen reeds? Say just an intake kit, many of those out there, and a can, trail clutched.
What are the differences in the different ones?? Only ever heard of RAD valves (reeds and cages).

I've har great luck with them and $199 is a great price. with the gutted air box and clutching you will have slight gain in horsepower but the sled will have alot better thottle response and better gas milage. I'm my opinion its worth it. some guys say no some say yes and i say yes

Well $199 for Boysen RAD valves does sound like a good price.. what are the RAD 652 or RAD 663 as stated above??
What kind of differences can be expected between the RAD valves and just a set of Boysen Power Reeds in the stock cages?
For $79 bucks you can buy a set of just the Power Reeds. Im thinking that may be the better buy for a trail sled with some tuning mods.

The RAD valves are an entire cage, whereas the power reeds require you to remove stock reeds and instal them on stock cages. Definately the more cost effective....

I've heard from some people who have had both the V-force 2&3's and the rad valves and they say they like the rad valves better. They also don't have the problems the V-forces have been having. Here is a link to a good article on them.

I have used the V-Force II's with ported boots to match the reed blocks and currently run the RAD valves without the ported boots. FWIW I think that the V set up with ported boots gave me more pull however the ported boots are hard to do unless you benchflow them to get them exactly right. There are some people who will do the porting of the boots for you. I got nervous with the ported boot set up because the rubber that is removed is critical for the life of the boot itself. Having said that the RAD valves more closely match the stock boots and work better than the stock valves. I run just the petals on my 600 ves and noticed some improvement after dialing in the jetting some. Bottom line if it is only power you are looking for run the V-Force II's with ported boots. For reliable power run either the RAD valves or the petals in the stock cages. In either case you should dial the jetting in for the changes to make power or you could see LESS power than if you were jetted right in the first place with the stock set up. IMO.
