ok so I just order an slp exhaust for my beast and i'm wondering which weights to run. Take a look at my signature it lists all my current mods. I guess my question is should I be looking into gettng a set of 66 gram weights since i'm running heads, a pipe, reeds, air horn kit, reprogramed cdi, lowered 1 tooth on the top sproket, 70 44 46 helix, 64 gram weights, almond/red primary spring, red/blue secondary spring. So what do you guys think. Also I did a search for jetting to but came up with alot of different information. I know bonz is/was running a similar set-up and he has posted he was running 440's for jets. I'm at about 750 feet above sea-level and rarely see temps below 0* except for wind chill but that doesn't mean anything.

once you have the pipe tuned in you may find you can run 10-66 . 10-64 not problem at all! I run all the same motor mods you have , you are correct with 440 mains with a tempaflow... If you dont run a tempaflow and only ride at round zero and warmer you should be able to run even smaller mains. I run 10-66 in my 700 geared at 23/42 with basicly the same clutching , I am currently running a 719 helix and had a 70-44.46er in it befor that.

i ran 66's on the stock head.

run this, almond red primary, black secondary(also known as the black red), 70/44/.46 helix and 440 main jets. that will get you ripping

I only run 62's in mine and have roughly the same mods you do... except I run the hyperlight secondary which allows me to run lighter weights... when i had the team i ran 66's...

also, on the 700 i'd use a bit different of a primary spring, Almond or Almond/Blue... no need to have that 165 start on that sled, there is enough torque down low on that motor to give you a nice smooth engagement and let the motor torque it out... I run mine at about a 3700rpm engagement with a 8000rpm top end and it flat honks...

I agree with Bonz. I run 66's with an almond/blue with all the mods you listed and its dialed. My altitude and temps are the same. Black/white will get you an even lower start rate (130vs140) with the same finish. I've used that one with success. It just depends on your weight and snow conditions. I currently run the red/blue secondary but belt life is a little short with that spring.

well i'll have to look in one of my boxes but i know i have another spring. last year when i was getting my clutches resurfaced and machined mark zaic put in a different spring and stated that i didnt need that harsh of a spring but i switched it out and put the almond/red back in. I'll swap them and check the results.
