i found a ad in the paper for a 1997 XLT600, and a 1995 RXL650. It says that the XLT needs motor work, and the RXL has electricle problems but just had a bunch of motor work done. I see a few wiring harnesses, and computers for the rxl on ebay, and i think if I replaced all of it I might be able to get it to work. I have to call back around 6 to see what all is wrong in detail, and see if they will seperate. Depending on the condition, and what one will be cheaper to fix i might seperate them. What do you guys think is the one i Should choose, and what are some pros and cons of both. If anybody has any parts for eather let me me know. Thanks, James.

James, If the XLT will turn over snatch it up for $300 it will be cheaper and easier to completely rebuild the topend than to try and chase efi problems around the rxl. It it won't turn may have crank problems, stay away. Just my .02

James,

I have a complete 650 RXL EFI system for sale $200 plus shipping. It came from a running 91 RXL that I converted to turbocharged with carburetors. If that RXL was EFI, ported and had triple pipes, it will be difficult to tune. However, you could convert it easily to carbs. I have all the parts also.

From a less hassle point of view, Xskier is probably right.

If you decide to pass it up let me know. I may be interested.
