I believe the further forward hole makes the sled dart less, but steering effort will be increased. Further back hole will make it dart more, but steering effort will be easier.
Just the opposite is true.
For those that haven't seen the SLP Powder Pro/SLT mounts, there are not multiple ski mount holes for the spinde bolt.
On the SLP mounts there are different holes for the carbide studs to go into the mount. The ski is held to the metal mounts by the carbide studs. So, with the forward holes, the ski is positioned forward in relation to the spindle, which makes steering effort less, but could increase darting, and will make the ski turning action somewhat more aggressive.
You trade stability for reduced steering effort. The Polaris 07 IQ skis move the ski forward in relation to the spindle, to reduce steering effort.
Your SLP dealer should have explained this, if you need more info give them a call.
