deer stand
uwrf94
The all to familiar sight of every bow hunters nemisis, the black bear. Around us in Northern WI, it is basically useless to try to bait deer early season, as bear will find it and pound on it. I had two bear under my stand on two differant locations within 4 days last week! I don't really like the whole bait tactic, but I do what I have to do to get a deer in close enough to shoot. The WI DNR needs to get more permits out there, bottom line, so the bear pop. can be handled. Just my 2 cents. Great pics though. Good sized bear.

we also bait bears miles away from this spot ,we have had up to 7 different bears hitting the bear bait.we need to thin out the bears up here way too many around....well i've never seen a bear in the area of this stand before, this guy might just be passing through....we'll see

more pics from my buddies cam....last night he had a stand offf with this buck at under 10 yards....it's on a food plot and while retrieving his sd-card out of his cam this buck walked in made a scrape started to circle him and then just stood there looking at him( 5 yards at this point down wind ) eventually the buck turned and wondered off.on his way to his trail cam he pushed a doe off the food plot....this buck was not a bit concerned with his presense.noticed the scare/ growth on his left side (typically antler growth and opposite side is affected by an injury????)
