Put the tors removal kit in the banshee. All parts went in perfect. The motor starts up at idle, and then increases rpms as the motor warms up, say 20 seconds. Throttle works. Rpm's are very high, like half throttle, to the pont that we have to shut off the bike. Airbox is on correctly with airbox cover and filter. Throttle slides are at the bottom when the idle is high. Idle screws are all the way out. Intake boots look good.

Did you drill and tap the correct side for the idle screw? I have seen guys drill and tap the wrong side of the carbs for the idle screw. Are the carb slides installed correctly? Make sure the idle screw hits on the tapered section of the slide. Also check and make sure that the slide moves free inside the carb. I've seen a few that had a burr on the key inside the carb, and the slide would hang up on it.

Once all this is checked, make sure the carbs are timed correctly, this is important on this bike. There is a window in the side of the carbs to check this. (This is not your current problem, but something to check once you get closer)

Let me know what you find, or if I can provide additional info.

Erie1,
Thanks for the reply. We think it is a bad base gasket. Turns out the dealer gave two right gaskets. I wasn't there duting the assembly and didn't know this. My buddy just turned one over to make a left and right. Before he did this, he called the dealer and they felt this would be fine. I think this is the problem. The dealer stepped up and gave new gaskets. I'll let you know if this turns out to be the problem. The correct holes were drilled by a machinest, so I'm confident thats not the problem. Thanks for the reply. ZR
