I have a cat roller secondary I used on my Wedge XC 700 a couple of years ago. It's sitting on the shelf now, so I either want to use it or lose it. When it was on the XC I was using a 53/51 helix with red/white spring. Any ideas on if this would be a good starting point for the XCR?

The XCR is a 2000, with Flannery porting and SLP triple pipes.

I'd go over to Snowest and ask that question

You're jogging my memory here! grinning-smiley-023.gif

What are you running in the primary? 10-60s or 10-62s? 165/300 spring or similar? If so I would guess you'd be running around a 56-52 or 56-50 full progressive for the average weight rider with good traction products. Honestly I would try the 53-51 as a starting point and see what you get.

Any good triple T-Cat helix should work well. 62/40 is a popular helix with D&D. Need a strong spring like a Cutler red. That's for drag racing though. 58/44 might work better for trail.

Or, try a 50 degree Super Torquer variable radius conversion kit. Works well for my 800 XCR using a Cat yellow or stronger spring.
