i recently heard that apparently the brakes on the wedges changed from the early 90's to late 90's with respect to the master cylinder and how well it made the brakes work. Apparently there is a lot more "feel" to the brakes rather than just the on-off feeling of the early 90's. I know they changed to the top mount caliper but that was just for accessibility I believe and didn't really affect the operation of the brakes.

What changes actually occurred and where they definitely better?
