I've given up trying to put the bar cover on after installing a 4" riser and pivot adapter.

Can anyone recommend a set of handguards? I like the look of the Sportech ones, but I'm not sure if they're any good.

I also need a source for a decent looking bar pad, if you have any pics, post them up.

I have had both powermadd and sportechs on my sled. I like the mounting system of the powermadds better because they were ROX mounts. The quality of rox is better than all. But, I like the look of my sportechs now better than the powermadds. They also seem to guard a little more by how the look compared to the sportechs.

Also, here is a pic of what I did last year. Just bought a bar pad from Dennis Kirk. I had to cut the foam and part of the cover but it worked just fine. Only paid 15$ for it. Sorry for the crappy pic, its the best i have of a close up thats near the bars with the bar pad on.

Here is a pic I found of my sled on the left with sportech, and FLY_HIGH_F5 on his old 440. He has the powermadd on his, which are the same exact besides color of the old ones I had.

What bars are you using?

Most pads I found are for 1 1/8 bars, and I'm using the stock 7/8 stuff.

ya, the bars on my old 440 with the pad are made for an 1 1/8 bars. I have pro-x bars on there which are 7/8 bars. It will still work fine. The differance is really that much. I did have to cut the foam slightly because of the riser I had. Order a pad and you will be able to make it work.

On my xc, i just put on a fly setup, not in the pics, but this also has a bar pad. So if you want a FLY pad you could also make that work. They are for 1 1/8 bars but I could use it on my old 7/8 stuff if i wanted to.

XC, thanks for the tip. I ordered the pad and some Sportech guards off them today. Unfortunately they didn't have them in stock.
