Price sounds a little high to me but all in all a great sled they have long legs. I have a 2000 and a 2001 love them both :div20:

I typically think 500 - 700 a year in depreciation depending on miles and condition..
2003 sled going into 2007 @ 8500$ new with really no miles for 6500 is about right..
But still pricey
but it's you're HARD Earned $$
the XCR's Rock!!! :div20: you came to the right place for info setup and some great people.. :beerchug:

if you are in to lake racing, this would probably be your machine. Mine would absolutely kill any of the newer twin cylilnder stuff on the lake. However, on the trail they aren't nearly as nice as the newer stuff when it starts getting bumpy.
That same sled is for sale on this website, I believe. There is also an 02 with 300 miles on it for 4700 USD. Still basically brand new, but considerably less money.

Jorday, couldn't agree more. To justify this kind of money you need to be a lake racer - or plan on lots of mods. For an all around machine, or one where the emphasis will be on trail riding, triples should be a great memory. Time to check out the newer suspensions available under the twins.

one of the things to keep in mind would be around 2800 miles from the time you pick up and start
ridien the sled is the waterpump maintenence anytime after 3000 miles....
