This is by no means a bash:
I towed a guy out of the woods over labor day weekend with a brand new 800. He was pissed as this was the second time it broke down in the ONE week he had it with twenty two miles. First time the clutch completely locked up and the dealer fixed it in two days, and now he doesn't know what is wrong but he wants nothing to do with it.
We haven't had any failures like that, our stuff is just minor pains in the ass.

When you take the cvt cover off run a garden hose over the top of the back cover, and check if water is leaking in through the back side of the cvt case. If so you will have to do like I did and take the clutches off and seal the back with high temp silicone.
I was thinking of using some slilicone on it, and the hose is how we proved it was slipping. When we washed our quads after a day of riding i had to put her at half throttle just to crawl into the garage. Next time we go up we will put the new gasket on her, i think that will do it because my dads and his buddies both run perfect through deep water and mud.

So after I started my 04 400xt outlander today I noticed on the odometer where it tells you how many miles you have on and such it says FAIL so I know this cant be good im hoping the computer isnt going on it now that the warranty has ended two months ago. Although When I push the button to like clear your miles at the end of the day it shows the numbers and the FAIL goes away however we loaded on the truck and brought it home from the camp and hour drive later when I started it up on the truck FAIL was there again. Anyone have this problem or know whats wrong if its seriouse have to get if fixed before hunting season. In other words this weekend.
Don't get over worried over it, last year we got totally freaked out because my dads dash on his sled read "scale" it turns out that scale means that the reset button is stuck!
