Need info on how to remove a cylinder from the base. Enigne blew last year so we took it out, removed the mag and center cylinders but the other wont come off.. We tried using a ruber mallet , then a piece of wood and a heavy hammer, then after tried using a punch in the grove on the side of the cylinder but wont come off. if we pry with a screw driver we can see a gap of a few thou. on the right side of the cylinder ( towards the mag). But right on the clutch side it aint budging. We also put bolts threw chains screwed into the holes for the heads and conected the chains on a chain fall and lifted the hole engine and still didnt come apart, and also applied lots of pressure on the base to break it free but no success...piston isnt seized or nothing, out of ideals...Any info on how to remove this would be greatly appreciated...Thanx

There is a steel pin in the base that the cylinder fits around to center the cylinder and it probably is corroded. I would spray P. B. blaster on and around them. If you look at the cylinders you have off and the base they came off you'll see the pins I'm talking about. Spray these and gentley tap with a hammer to vibrate the chemical into the frozen area. I'm sure this will work. I have never had this fail me yet! It may need to sit over night and possibly a second application of pb blaster. If you can't fin this brand get a good brand name and try it. Hope this helps!
