Looking to buy a waterfront camp that has good game fishing and bird hunting. I'm hoping to find something off Route 11. Ideal location would be in the Jo Mary Pemadumcook area., but willing to look at other locations. Any leads would be appreciated.

I have a camp on the just off long lake in Sinclair. That is off Rt. 161 VS. Route 11. About 15 mins. south of fort kent. Two bedrooms. Best Salmon fishing I have ever seen == lots of grouse -- not to mention great riding - and deer/moose hunting.... $60K

Dad just picked up a camp/house on upper cold stream in Lincoln, right off ITS 81. A few others available up there that I saw, 150's to 250's for pricing.

is there a way across the river from lincoln on a sled yet?

There's club trails up the east side and out towards Danforth. Always a good ride. You can make your way over to Medway really easily, Linneus is a straight shot north. Riding up to Grammies in linneus for lunch is always a good day trip and there's not a lot of traffic.

You still have to ride the 1/2 mile or more across the bridge on pavement heading west from Lincoln. Expect not to have any carbide left after that, all the road crossings, and then getting over I-95 to tie into ITS 83.

Had the pleasure of meeting and riding with the owner of Retrax last winter. He had a pretty slick hydraulic system on his REV with handlebar controls. He developed them after riding from Alaska to Maine in 30 days.

They are pricey but look like they work really well.

I was just going to say I saw a hydraulic system at the area snowmobile show. They were like $400 though. You can buy a few sets of carbides for that kind of money.

But the "Wow" factor is great with something like that. Much better bang for your buck over billet wheels or graphics. :tease:

i met a canadian on the border cut that had those hydraulic wheels on his v-max xt -- looked pretty slick.....still got wear strips in the back though that need snow
Skidor
Did you see the pricing for Retrax? 299.00 in US funds, 259.95 in Canadian funds. To be equal, that would be 299.00 in us currency compared to 228.25 in us currency.

Tariff?

I just spent an hour talking with him in his shop and I am getting ready to buy 2 sets. They are 199. US for manual ones and $750. for hydraulic.

I have the manual retrax wheels on both of my sleds. I am very pleased with them. It is nice to be able to steer across the pavement when gassing up. They are pricey, but I like'em.

I guess it's safe to assume no one knows of a place for sale in that area.

cat...how much do you want to spend? and how fancy of a place do you want?
CatClan
Looking for a place that's 100K or less. Willing to spend more if it's special. Not influenced by the recent run up in real estate prices due to last up swing. Market will correct itself. Location is important on two criteria. 1 Needs to be withing two to two and a half hours from the Waterville area. Needs to be in a area that is not going to be turned into Vegas (Moosehead, Rangeley). I should be looking for an "investment", but I'm looking to create a place to pass down from generation to generation.
