I am buying a new sled but have it narrowed down to either 07 fst switch or 07 600 cfi switch. Which on would you choose?

Opinions??????? :frech32:

I would get the 600cfi not much less power and a whole lot lighter

I personally would get the 600 CFI great motor and it is lighter. the FST still has bugs and 600 is proven also the CFI should be a lil cheaper then the FST. i have a 2006 switchback 600 for sale if you are interested. thank you

I went with the 600 HO CFI. 100 pounds lighter and also lighter in the wallet. Not being as young as I once was, I won't miss the 15 H.P. advantage of the FST.

Are you planning on taking any trips to high altitudes? I see you're in BC.

Are you planning on modding at all? There are a few guys over at SnoWest who have some mods for the FST Switchback that have it losing about 40 lbs and gaining a ton of power.

Stock vs Stock, however, I'd say the 600CFI is most suitable to the widest range of conditions/riders.

I feel that 4-strokers have no place in the snowmobile world!!

Have you considered trying to find a leftover 2006 900 2-stroker?

there is no replacement for displacement.

I absolutley love mine, and it was a replacement for my 2005 Fusion. The most hated sled I ever owned!!!

While the torque is nice, I wasn't real impressed with the 900 Switchback I rode last year. I ran the owner down and passed him on Lake Gogebic with my ProX 660... :cn:

Thanks for all your input. I am leaning toward the FST Switchback but will keep everyone informed when I buy.

Again thanks to everyone who repied.

I had the same question about one month ago... after listening to various opinions and researching, I bought the SB 600 CFI. I am looking forward to try it out this winter.

How is the 2007 600 CFI proven?

It is a first year technology, not unlike last year's FST.

Any other comments here? My decision is between an '06 H.O. and an '06 FST. naturally the FST will come updated, but the 100 lbs is killing me. I can drop $4-500 into exhuast for either sled, and from what i have seen, it will do this:

drop 25 lbs from the FST

OR

gain the HP difference in the H.O.

I really want to give the 4-stroker a try, and considering how few times i was actually able to get my SKS in real powder, it may be worth my while to try the new FST for $6200 + dealer B.S.
best i have seen for the H.O. was $6399 + B.S.
