I disagree that the M-10 is not an upgrade. Try to find one for the same price as a regular XC.
I would have paid $500 more, but could not find one. I have an '02 Edge "X" with M-10 and the ride's even better than I had hoped for. Now my wife wants it for her to ride! That sled around here, without a M-10 would go for $2,800 to $3,300 with 2,000 miles on it, add $500 for an M-10 and you are close, but out in your area, prices are probably better (higher) on sleds too.

How would you say the handling is on this sled? I rode a 06 fusion last season and it felt tippey, Will the 02 XC feel like this? I really want something that is really comfortable but also handles well.
I like the handling on the XC, sold my '02 and got an '05 and am not sure if the '05 is better or not.
On the '02 and '03 XC's we take out some of the front spring pre-load and it really helps the ride and handling, IMHO. Lift the front of the sled under the bulkhead, so no weight is on the skis. Loosen the spring pre-load collar untill the springs have zero pre-load. Re-check after a while as the OAL can get shorter and the spring keeper could fall out on bumps. Move the both scissor stops to "High", and it will handle like it is on rails. If you like wheelies move the rear ones to low.
