Anyone strip off their decals from the hood and how did you do it? Another thing I was looking for, was someone that does plastic welding near Hamilton. I have a small crack in my F7 hood. Any help would be great!

use a blow dryer! works great on getting off the decals. oh we used fiberglass to fix our cracked hoods and it has held up.

Ya Id say hairdryer for the decals, they should come off in 1 piece if you are patient, as for the hood, Id get it plastic welded, there are tons of rednecks out there that do it for cheap.

Ok..I'll try the hairdryer idea. I want to leave some of them, that I'll just exacto knife and remove the rest. One of those rednecks is who I'm looking for. Arctic Cat admits a flaw in their hoods, at least a Cat rep told me that there are a bunch of hoods cracking in the same spot.

Yes, hairdryer will allow you to lift the decal off. Any residual adhesive can be removed with Goo-Gone (available at CTC) or with WD-40 and a soft towel.
I too would be interested in knowing about plastic welders in this region. Damn tree!

I've used the hair dryer before, also WD40 works good for extra glue residue!!!
