Thanks for the comments hopefully this year I can make to the bowl with Brandon. It's in awesome shape, and it wasnt even registered last year, the 1400 miles came from one winters worth so she's still a baby.
coolx2
Congrat's on your new sled. You may need a longer track to make it to the bowl though if the snow is deep and fluffy.
nhsledatvrider
Yeah, its deffinately a nice looking sled, one of the best looking F7's I've seen.

Welcome to the dark side...

GREAT SLED!.ive got an 04 firecat and i will tell u this, they are a very dependable sleds. 7200 miles and the only things i had to do was to put a couple of bogie wheels and a track(track was only because of a poor studding job). The one upgrade i would do is put on an 05 seat.i would buy another one in a second.Congrats!!!!!!! HERE IS A PIC OF THE 05 SEAT

:div20: Nice Sled, good luck with it.

Nice sled, have the same thing. Check gas tank filler neck, most of them are cracked and there is a recall on them. check it soon there is a shortage of tank from A/C. Mine has been at dealer for over a month waiting for tank, what a joke.
Sno-ProF5
i made it to the bowl with my F5
then into the bowl
then up the bowl
then down the bowl

man can that cat climb a tree
at the bottom of the bowl

if u got the 1 3/8 track ull be all set
what?trail?
shit -- i was there monday if i had seen it i would have bought it !!!!!!

oops .. just saw original post date

Ahhhh dont get me started on them, this will be the last purchase I make from them
MrMXZ
Ive got to hear this one..... I never had any luck with them, and a buddy of mine just bought a NEW Grizzly from them, Nothing but problems! Don't mean to Dis the guy's, but I personaly had a bad experience there about 3 years ago, and have never heard a positive comment about them after that. (Turn's out the guy who turned me on to the place had a bad experience just before I used them, and never told me.....)
Of course, That's my opinion....... and I'm sure like every where else, there are many people that swear by them. Seems to be that way with most dealers.....Flip a coin..

Ok...Well things started of great. Called and put a hold on it after looking at it on the website. Ran a credit check and since I pay for all my things in cash I have never needed a credit card so hence my parents had to co-sign, fine no big deal. Went and checked it out next day all was good, it had been sitting in the wharehouse since last Jan when the old owner traded it in. Sled was in mint cond. This is where things went downhill. I talked to the finace manger on the phone prior to checking it out and he said even though thay dont usaully do the paperwork on Sundays I could still sign what I needed to. So I thought awesome perfect, except he wasnt in on Sunday and when I told the saled guy I was dealing with this he then told me the finace guy didnt leave any paperwork for me to sign. So just wonderfull. So I said next time I could come down was Thursday which I did and I signed all my paperwork that I needed to. Because I had a co-signer my mom needed to sign her half, and works full time so for her to get to Rochester would be inconvienant. So the finace guy said he was going down to the area that week and he would trailer down the sled and have my mom sign the papers. Awesome costumer servise I thought! So he comes down to Mass drops off the sled ay my house and goes to his truck to get his paperwork and what do you know HE FORGOT IT IN THE OFFICE!! So he leaves the sled at my house and says he will come back down with the papers in a couple days since it was his fault he forgot it. He was supposed to come on a Thursday, never shows, call and find out why he said "oh well I had to take care of personall buisness" well you said you would be here, oh and I forgot to mention when he dropped of the sled he also forgot the keys. So he comes doen again week later and we get all signed and done but he forgets the keys again!! So I come home and look over the paperwork and it says 2002 for model, well it's a Firecat and they werent made then of course they I compare the serial #'s on the papers and the sled and there different. I call them up and tell them and they have mixed up sleds and had the wrong serial # in the computer for it and never doubled checked it. I tell him I am not drivng 1 1/2 down from Plymouth to sign more papers for the correct info. I tell him i'll be home this weekend you come to me well he says the bank auditors are coming to check inventory and since that sled itsnt technilly bought you need to bring it back so the dealership wont get in trouble I said hell no! So he comes down that night and brings the paperwork and tell us he's not happy doing this because it's on HIS DIME well pall you messed up not me I am paying the asking price for a sled at your dealership and you tell me it's on your dime!! Anyways he comes down we get everything done right, and guess what he forgets the keys again for a 3rd time!!..I finally got the keys 2 1/2 weeks later in the mail. They told me for all the trouble I was put through I can get 10% all purchases for 2 months WHOPPEE. COME TO FIND OUT THE FINACE GUY THAT SCREWED UP MANY TIMES OVER HAD JUST STARTED 2 DAYS BEFORE I BOUGHT THE SLED!!!!

Sorry for the rant, I just want others to be carefull buying from them, and dont make the same mistake I made and not double checking all there work.

Are we talking Rochester Motorsports or Rochester Sports Center???

I just want everyone to be clear on what dealer we are talking about. dunno.gif dunno.gif dunno.gif
oldtimer
Knock them handlebars forward so as to be able to ride it like you mean it...Might have to work out clearance issues with the windscreen..

Rochester Motorsports..sorry if there was any confusion. :beerchug:

I dont mean to go off on them in a public forum but I dont want anyone to go through the same trouble I did.
coolx2
Thanks for clearing that up. I have never had a bad experiance at rochester sports center ,but have had mediocre service at rochester motersports. :no_bashing:

I am glad that everything was cleared up with the name of the dealer. There is a big difference in the 2 places. Rochester Sport Center is a great dealership and provides great services. I have not heard great things about the other guy either. Should have driven 10 minutes down the road and got better service and probably a better sled since Rochester Sport is a Cat dealer. Always keep in mind you get what you pay for and $4500 for that sled is real cheap at a dealer. I hope you checked it over real closely.

That is the only positive out of this sale. The sled is in mint shape, absoultly nothing wrong with it. Myself and Brandon went over it really good. I wish Ihad known about the Rochester Sports Center before all of this. The guys at Rochester Motor Sports knew nothing about sleds at all, not even about the new Yammis which they are a dealer of.

Sled was in mint shape. The good thing was they (Rochester Motorsports) let me go over every inch of the sled for as long as I wanted without anyone looking over me. I was able to look at many of the known problem areas we know the F-cats have.

The only thing I wish I was able to do was a compression check however, I didnt have a tester with me @ the time so I wasn't able to.

One things for sure, I wouldn't ever take my sled there for service. After talking with 2 of the techs in the shop who appeared to be my age as well as the sales guy; It was quite obvious they've never ridden one for an extended period of time. They seemed like ATV/Dirtbike guys.... :frech32:

Defiantly... I asked the servise guys if they rode sleds and they said they didnt, they rode moto cross, and the same goes for the sales guys as well, he told me in his life he has maybe logged 200 miles on a snowmobile and hates it. dunno.gif

My feeling if you want to be a credible dealership your staff needs to be well rounded in the products you sell and have real life expierance in using them.
PolarisBrian
Took Some better pictures of the sled today..And brought them to the lake so winter can start now I am ready! :beerchug:
