I'm gonna pick up the garmin 60csx. This is based on all the feedback / research i've seen in these forums. I'm confident this is the right purchase.

I'll be using this for sledding primarily in NH, and maybe into ME/VT. Plotting my trips, trails, etc...

Only thing i'm not sure of is - what softwared do I need?
I see various things from MAPSOURCE ; i.e. USA Topo, City Navigator, etc....what do I need for sledding as the primary purpose? Also - I see people recommending upgrading the memory card to 1GB.

Any thoughts on add'l hardware/software appreciated. Thanks!!!!

I just picked up a 60csx myself. I also bought a 512mb memory card that I have not put in the unit yet. With the 64mb card that comes standard in the unit I have loaded all of NH and part of ME and VT (US Topo) in the GPS. US topo would be your best software for snowmobiling. :div20:

How did you load it? I just bought the 60csx last night along with us topo and city navigator. I also got a 1 gb micro sd card. When I load stuff to it does it store on the card or what? Should I put the 1 gb card in now? I haven't read the book yet. Is there any storage besides the card? How much space is needed can I load all the software I got on it, or just select parts? BTW the software I got is on cd-roms not the pre-loaded cards.

try this forum, lot's of good info on here. WHen you connect the 60csx after installing softeware it will recognize it and you can export your maps. It's pretty easy I hooked CKF's to my laptop after i installed the software and had it running with no directions beyond remembering what they had posted on groundspeak.
