unfortunately the search function won't allow 3 letter words so i couldn't get any results. Having never ridden a sled with crc steering or the tipped in trailing arms of the xc-10 front suspension, I was just wondering how much of a difference these 2 features actually make? Is it a big difference? What are supposed to be the benefits?
thanks.

CRC is part of the xtra 10 front end, when the xtra 10 rear first came out the front end was old style. Tipped in arms are part of the newer wedge style -98?

all Xtra-10 front ends don't have CRC

Haven't ridden much on non-CRC sleds, but on my old indy trail , the steering rods are connected directly to the bellcrank, while on the CRC front ends, the steering arms are connected to a "rack&pinion" , with steering arms the same length as the lower radius rods. This results in a better geometry during suspension travel.

Thanks for the replies guys. I have a good grasp now on what it involves (steering rack etc), but i am just wondering what kind of a difference it makes over the regular early 90's steering.....or is there really a difference? I saw one article saying it reduces bump steer and scrub or something like that. Not esactly sure what that means??
thanks.

Eddie, unless your are a gonzo, balls on fire , snocross wanne be, the standard xtra10 front end will do you well.

crc steers lighter and has less bump steer. its not a night and day difference, but it is better.

As mentione above the difference in steering performance won't be noticed by many that are not hard core. Thinking the bigger reason most are after converting an older sled is suspension travel (more is better!).
