GPSMAP 76CSx & GPSMAP 60CSx DIFFERENCES
Q: "What are the main differences between the GPSMAP 76CSx and the GPSMAP 60CSx?"
A: "Included data card (the 76CSx includes a 128MB microSD data card, the 60CSx includes a 64MB card); physical size, weight and shape; floatability (the 76CSx will float; the 60CSx will not)."

Thanks, I think I will go with the 60csx. I like the layout better and there is a $50 rebate on it til the end of the year.

Went through the same discussion this summer with one of the guys I ride with. As stated above it's basically the same unit in a different case. Where mine is mounted on the sled the 60 will work better than the 76 because of screen location being on top but if you plan on using the buttoins while you ride the 76 may be better. I use my current Etrex as a speedo while I ride and to download tracks when I am done so no need to fool with it while riding so when I upgrade it will be to the 60 and the other guy bought a 60 as well.

Yeah thats what I am thiking also, with a ram mount the buttons on the 60 will be below the screen. The 76 would be above. What software do I need for it. Is there different topo programs or what. All I want is the michigan trails and would also like "city streets" for my truck dring places. Which ones should I get?

Garmin Topo is best for remote riding, it has the major roads some smaller roads but not all of them. trails won't be there on the topo unless it's a fireroad and those show up as a thin red line but it's nice to see whats around you. Some clubs do have uploadable maps most in Gamin format. You can reload old trips so even if the club doesn't have them eventually you will end up with them.
