Well I sold my trailer and I now have no trailer at all. I want to pick up a 8.5 X 14ft enclosed trailer. I like the halmark ones but they seem to be really high priced new. Where in Anchorage can I look for one at? Any recomendations? I just need it to fit 2 long track sleds comfortably. If you have any leads on a used one please help me out here. Thanks

Here is a picture of the ideal trailer I want. Have you seen one for sale like this?

PH, I just seen an enclosed on craigslist for $5,500. White V-nose and says it will hold 3 sleds.
Check it out.

Go to AURora trailors and tell them Andrew sent you, you get a great deal. They are new company on Tudor just down from lake otis and tudor, by the Mcdonalds. Guy builds them here in the state and family friend too. Good luck

There is a used one for sale at the eagle river pawn shop. Didn't see a price. looked like a 3 or 4 place.

Yeh that is just the trailer I am looking for. The guy is asking about $1300 too much for it though. He is not ready to talk down to a good price. I will keep on trying though. Thanks :div20:

I am away from home for another 2 weeks but when I get back I will stop by and see what kind of deal he is willing to make me. :div20:

I saw that one, it is really nice but i think it is a little to large. It looked like a "24' ft trailer and he is asking more than I have to work with. thanks and if anything else shows up please keep me informed. :div20:

PH,
Just saw one for you on craigslist, 15' clamshell for $3500. :div20:

Thanks I will check it out. I am trying to get away from the clam shell, but time is running out. I might have to get something I am not 100% happy with..... thanks for keeping me posted.

Yeh I have been talking to him a little. He lives in cordova and I am planning on meeting him later on in Anchorage. I really didn't want a trailer that big.... but I don't think I have much of a choice.
RATED-X
I sure hope that trailer has brakes...Alot of weight for a 1/2 ton truck to stop.
joe231
well he already has the big wheels, I say it is time for bigger brakes :burp: , surely that monster has brakes on it, would seem crazy not to dunno.gif

I have not found one yet, I looked at the "26" fter and decided it was to large for my application. I am in the precess of trying to check out the one clayton posted this morning. That one seems promising. I also seen the one you posted. I called the guy and I am going to check them both out when I get a hold of the other guy. I think he is asking to much on the $5500 one but I will try to see if he is willing to talk down the price a little.
Thanks everyone for the leads, I appreciate it. :beerchug:
Hopefully I can find something soon.

The one for $5500 can't carry what he saying....well not four new sleds or 6 new four wheelers. I double checked my measurements and my sled from bow to stern is 115" and 47 1/2" wide. I know Mt Sleds are a little narrower but definately longer. My trailer is 27' overall length with 24' interior and it's a snug fit nose to tail with Mt sleds.

My 4 wheeler is just shy of 7' bow to stern and 50 1/2" wide.

My 2 cents. Measure twice buy once.

I might be driving to Anchor town from Fairbanks this Sat. We might be able to work out something if you're interested.
powderhound
Well here is the deal, the one Akeddie found in fairbanks is only 7ft wide, that will not fit the REV's in there.
The promising lead on the one Clayton found is only 6ft wide and it is in cordova. There is still one that Joe231 found in anchorage for $5500. I will check that one out today. Thanks everyone, but please keep looking. Unfortunately I don't think these ones will work out.

Thanks again :beerchug:

Keep an eye on www.webtradio.com. I know most of the items are in Fairbanks but you might find what you need sometimes. There's usually one of us coming down sooner or later that would be willing to help.
powderhound
alright, thanks. I will add that to my watch list.
joe231
does your rev have RER? couldn't you get a 7 wide and put one sled in forward and one backward? My wife's uncle still has his 7x12 that is like new. I realize it isn't exactly what you are looing for but you could use it for now and sell it later if you find the right one. dunno.gif just a thought

But for $1000 more you could buy a bigger sled trailer :beerchug:
