I am thinking about getting an '06 fusion 700. I was just wondering what everyone thought of them. What peoples top speeds were. Gas mileage, ride quality, reliabilty, etc.... Any info on this sled would be greatly appreciated. I have driven it once but it was on a test track so i did not get much of a feel for it. Thanks

I have 1600 miles on mine and love it. It pretty much needs all the same aftermarket parts the 900 does, SLP torque and push arms, aftermarket airbox is a good idea as is gearing her down. After all this is said and done it is much easier on belts but in stock form mine was a bit of a belt eater. Top speed on mine was 108mph, did it twice on back to back runs, saw 116 once but it has proven to be a fluke, I believe there was allot of track spin involved. Mine suffers from being inconsistant however, it is alway very quick to 90-95 mph but sometimes it hits a wall and won't break 100, the next time you try it passes 100 with ease and just keeps clicking em off

, I'm going to try replacing my secondary spring and cleaning the clutches before this season as I have 1600 miles and have blown a few belts but haven't cleaned the clutchees yet. As far as ride, it handles the rough as good or better then my 03 REV did, it is always very predictable and stable. You get nicer guages , rider select, and better looks then the 07's (IMO). I don't miss my REV at all and to be honest I believe the IQ is a BETTER chassis then the REV for the every day rider, it's just more versatile and does everything very well without forcing you into the "attack"position all the time like the REV does, it will allow you to stretch out and change position during a days ride. My Rev seemed to keep me in the same position all day and left my legs sore, the Fuse never leaves me sore. I have spent a few hundred bucks making things rite that Poo should have taken care of in the first place but overall I am very pleased with my machine, no regrets :div20:

I have 2300 miles on mine, no real problems to speak of. Pour tail light design. My torques stop has worked fine all winter. Vibration is there, but if your running harder, its not that bad. In my opinion, new ski's so it turns and thats about it.
I've had 103 on GPS across gogebic last year. They go.

I love mine!!!! Handles like a dream. Power is awesome. 104 on the speedo on glare ice. Yes the vibration is there but I just got used to it. I did though, have to replace the torque stop after 800 miles but it was covered under warranty. I highly recommend it. :div20:

I had the torque stop go and an oil pump cable, vibration is a non issue to me, you get used to it like the others said

Thanks for all the info. It is a great help. So by the sounds of it they are a great reliable sled. Just also wondering what everyone was getting for gas mileage. Or how many miles to a tank everyone was getting.
Thanks

I get right around 12 miles per gallon, riding hard or just cruising a Ontario wide open trail. I always make sure to not push my tripmeter much past 100miles

I get 10-12mpg depending on how I ride, my main riding bud has a 03 F7 EFI and we burn about the same

Great power, awesome ride and handling.

Thanks. :div20:
Only addition is a Timbersled airbox kit. (I have studs in a box, going on for this season)
Raced my buddies modded (SLP pipe and can, EPI clutch, V-Force reeds, correct jetting, Tempa-flow) 04 XC 800 a million times. With equal traction, it's dead even from bottom to top speed. Suprised both of us how well
the 755 engine runs!!

I am looking to add a Timbersled intake to my sled this year. Do you think they really make that much of a performance difference? My sled has not been a real belt eater with only one eaten after about 500 miles. All good since them though.
I welcome any comments, along with the cheapest place to pick one up.
Other intake opinions welcome also.

As far as added HP with the air-box kit, I seem to recall a 2 HP gain was mentioned . Even if it added no HP, it would be a worthwhile addition because it also....... 1) sheds a few pounds (the stock POS airbox weighs a ton), and we all know the Fusers could stand a little Jenny Craig treatment.........
2) Frees up ALOT of air-space around the clutches for much-improved cooling..
3) makes sure no belt dust will be ingested by the engine due to poor sealing of the stock airbox mating surfaces (where the "two halves" come together).
All in all, a good deal the way I see it. I have 440 miles on the original belt, which still looks in great shape. This belt has seen it's fair share (and then some) of abuse from day one. Minimal belt dust. :div20:
I can't be 100% sure how the belt would look if I had run the stock airbox, but it sure looks good without it.
edit: typo............doh!!

after 1 full season and 1350 miles, my only issues were low mpgs and top speed. fouled out a bunch of plugs in the process. so i took it back to my dealer and he had another misbehaving simuliarly. he said the fuel pump was over pressurizing. so we changed the pump, which included the tank. i guess they're unseperable. also have taking all the tips from this web sight, thanks guys!!! replaced my air box with the timbersled intake and belt guard. slp torgue stops. both of them. geared down on the top. epi clutch kit. also done a recommendation by my dealer and put on a slp can. i guess the stock can weight was in the mid forties. this one is way lighter. i guessing between the new can and the timbersled intake im saving about 50 pounds. the dealer said it has a more throaty sound but isn't obnoxiously loud. i told him i'll bring it back if it is. haven't had a chance to try it yet. all done over the summer but can't wait for the snow to fly. as far as riding capabilities the rider forward position along with the m10 suspension has been awesome. i can ride all day without being fatigued. can't say that about any of my artic cats i've owned. did have some fading issues with the rear shock so i had all of them rebuilt at shock therapy. this thing will be better than new. also i should mention that mine came with the dual carbide runners. never going back to the single runner. no darting and no pushing in corners. rails like its on tracks. if you get passed by a racer graphic fusion number 88 with a guy smiling so big you can see him see it through his full face helmet. that will be me.
