want to add a tether to my fx anyone ever done it to a 4 stoke before also i will be making a set of custom dual exhaust pipes will let you guys know how it sounds and performs. also i will be re mapping the ecu I've done it with my fcat and my truck( my own fuel curves not store bought) what you guys think here
Yamanator
Have a tether on my Attak. Simply get a kit and splice into the ignition wire. Very easy.
diesel jim
yuo thats what i wa thinking but i know on certain ignition systems like if it is a 12v source meaning + volt going to the coil from the battery you want to wire the switch in with that 12v wire. that way you dont fry the ignition coi. i know this from experoenced quad racers
Octane
Why would you want to go with dual tailpipes? All its gonna do is add weight.
diesel jim
the true dual exhaust will add more lower end torque just like a truck.
Octane
Youve got it backwards there, buddy. Duals take away backpressure which reduce lowend torque.
Trust me, Ive got duals on my '99 F-150 and recently I drove a friend's '99 F-150 with the same engine who had stock exhaust and his lowend felt stronger than mind, but mine pulls a little harder from 3,000-5,000 rpm.
diesel jim
oh yeah sorry i was thinking backwards.
