Hey, i've got a good deal on a "97 mxz 583 lined up. Are these motors any good? any problems knowm to happen to these sleds?

my 583 had 17,098 klicks no rebuild and still 140psi when I sold it

They are bullet proof from what i've heard.

I have an old 617, basically a 583 with a longer stroke and bigger bore, should run forever

my buddy had a 583 and did that thing ever take a beating.... basically nothing left of it except the engine that still ran....
