I've eaten there a number of times and the food was always good. How is the motel. I'm just trying to get an idea where to stay for this yrs trip.

My father-in law used to stay there during grouse season; I think they allowed his dogs in the room. I have never heard anything bad about them. Looks clean from the outside.

I think you might have a better time in Hulbert though, it is not too far from Trout Lake. m2c.gif

Rooms are fine. They arent the tajmahal, but they were clean when I was there. Hell when I sled, as long as the room is halfway clean and I get a good sleep thats all that matters! On the sleds or drinking afterwards anyway. :beerchug:

I would stay there again if I had to. :div20:

Raco lodge was always a good place. Because its right on the trail and on the main road. Also Hulbert is a nice quiet town. Its been a fews years since Ive been in that area, but that whole general area is very good, Ive ate at trout lake several times and always good food and hospitality. Good luck on your trip.

We were just in Trout Lake for the weekend and stayed at the campground but my friends parents stayed at Mcgowans and said it was very clean and not too bad. So with that said I would not be too worried cause they would have left after the first night if anything was bad or not clean.
