I was wondering if i could fit a 1.25 Camoplast Ice ripper track on my snowmobile I have heard that with a ZX the studs hit the front of the tunnel I didn't know if it would be the same for an S 2000 i don't mind if i have to grind a little bit of the front of the tunnel.. any help would be great. Thank you

Just installed a 1.25" Ripsaw on my brothers 97 MXZ 670. Had to remove the tunnel protectors so track didn't hit. The 1.25" track doesn't seem to get too close the coolers, but it did hit the tunnel protectors. He decided to not run studs, otherwise we would have had to notch the track.

You could drill new holes lower in the tunnel brackets, or install smaller upper carrier wheels to gain more clearance. I saw a "how to" article on this somewhere to gain clearance for stud insatallation on that same chassis. Maybe it was Snowmobileworld.com or Snowmobile.off-road.com ??

just so you guys know...."notching the track" defeats the purpose of tunnel protectors!!!! Dont do it!!
