I bought a 1989 20.5 Four Winns Liberator with a cuddy cabin. 350 OMC I/O with a Cobra outdrive.
Just wondering if anyone has a similar model; if so, how do you like it? Mine runs great and handles well in a good chop.

Nice Boat.....I have always like the Liberators but got into skiing more than cruising.
FourWinns is a Quality boat, I had a 89 180 Horizon that I loved but went into a ski boat after that.
I dealt with Winnesquam Marine they were great to deal with both before and after the sale.
Actually was taking my skiboats up there to be serviced for a while too.
But anyway....nice boat good luck with it.

Liberators are a super boat, always liked them.
We have a few on the lake here, mostly 21 and 24 footers with the 454 Magnum setup.

Thanks John.....
I bought the boat from Winnisquam Marine. They were very helpful, they guaranteed the boat till the end of July.

I traded a few of those in when we owned a marina. One of my favorite 4-Winns model of the time. I assume top speeds are somewhere around high-40's with that engine/drive, mid 50ish if you trust the dream meter. The "new model" Cobra drive had a few issues at that time, shift cables and gears, but I assume your drive has been gone through if it lasted 17 years so far. A nice handling stable boat!

Hi 40's is correct; When properly trimmed and in flat conditions I've seen 52 on the speedo but who knows. It turns on a dime and has great stability. A little sticky going in and out of gear but I can live with it. Here's a pic of the cockpit. It's a little small but perfect for me and my wife.

I had a 1993 Lib with 351 (Ford) OMC King Cobra with thru hull exhaust and trim tabs. Good boat, used it on Lake St Clair all the time. 50MPH is abut right, if you run a better prop (stainless) (omc Viper prop??) and do some work , 58-60 on GPS is possiable.

I sold my 93 in spring 04 for $10,000. The buyer was bugging to buy, he looked at a lota junk, saw that mine was clean, always covered, no interior rot, chalky gelcoat, etc. I was happy with the deal. Yo are right, I check the ads and they still pull good money.

Had an '86 211 with the Merc 350 Magnum. Bought it for 10K in '91 and sold it for 10K in '95 but I did have to put a new trailer under it. One thing is for certain, I'll never have a boat without mufflers and/or above water exhaust!
