I have a friend that is selling his 96 Formula Z, it has 1112mi on it and it runs. What can anyone tell me about this sled, pro and con?

Thanks, Kevin Robinson :beer2:

I know that the 583 motor is bullet proof! m2c.gif

Does it have the ck3 chasis? if it has the f series it'll be heavy, but i think they switched in 1996 yay2.gif
FZ583
I had a '95 fz and it was pretty dam quick for a 583, I ended up putting 6000 miles on and only had a problem once which was a sticky needle and seat valve in one of the carbs which was an easy fix. I say buy it if the price is right, I put a clutch kit, geared it, and an mbrp can for weight savings and it really ripped, clocked at 107 mph on rangley lake! I got 2700 U.S. for mine 2 years ago which was really good money for that sled, but the '96 was in the S-chassis with first generation sc-10 rear suspension so it is lighter and handled better then the '95 FZ, the motor is definetly bulletproof, But on the other hand I think I would try to find a Formula SS, or an m2c.gif :beerchug: Mxz with the 670 which is all of the above an better! Good luck, now I wish I had my sled back this sucks!
