I have a 2003 Polaris 700cc and was thinking about running Iridium plugs this winter.

Anyone had an experience with these plugs, or have any thoughts or comments on using them?

don,t fall for all the sale,s hype we have found none of the new fangled plugs to out perform the stock plugs ngk seem to hold up the best :div20:

the iridiums do work better in nearly everything except liberty twins. run the original champions only in that! they are a dual heat range and nothing works as well. and i usually hate champions!

I should have mentioned the incident I had with the RN57YCC stock Champion plug.

I was out on the lake and for some unknown reason I decided to check my plugs. I pulled them both and found one had the ground electrode bent, towards one side of the center electrode. That really threw a scare into me as I had visions of the ground electrode burning off and getting slammed between the piston and the cylinder head. I had installed the plugs (new) at the beginning of the season.

The plugs indicated that they were running a bit on the rich side (slightly black).

ngk ,in a article i read admitted there plug is not a exact replacement for champion,
i have over 18000 miles using rn57ycc plugs[2 diff sleds] without ever even fouling 1
pretty hard to improve on that

what do u work for champion or something, cause i call bullshit!!!!!!!

i hope your smart enough to realize ,that was not done one one set off plugs.i can get 4000 miles or more on a set

Hahahaha c'mon, I just know you kept that set of plugs and swapped em into the new sled :burp:

IMO, no diff on the iridiums, other than they fouled a whole lot easier.

you should only run the champions in the polaris twins. NGK does not have an exact replacment.

I looked around to see if I had the old plug that gave me the problem as I was going to post a pic. I guess I threw it out.
