got my first of the year 5/6/06, 19 lbs, 10 3/4 in. beard

On the third day of season A here in Maine, dad and i both tagged out on the same day. He got his in the morning at 6:00. A 19 pounder, 10 1/2 inch bear, 3/4 inch spurs (2 year old). Mine was shot at 9:30. A 17 pounder, 8 3/4 inch beard, 3/4 inch spurs (2 year old).

Only allowed on turkey here in maine so it was a good season! Nothing like a son calling in his father's turkey and a father calling in a son's turkey! :beerchug:

My part of the season here in Maine starts tomorrow! Going out in the morning before school to try and get my 4th longbeard with a bow in 4 years. My dad tagged out last week on a 21 pounder with a 9.5'' beard and 1.25'' spurs.

Took me long enough to reply back, but i ended up getting a 21.25 pounder that monday morning 10 minutes into legal shooting time with my bow. Had a 9.75'' beard and 1'' spurs.

called this one in for my buddy this morning (his first) 20.8 lbs..... 11" beard
