Just wondering if anyone here has ever run a 780 big bore from hot seat.And if so what were the results.Have a chance to get one.It is a non-exhaust valve engine.Putting it in a 2001 xc 700 chasis.Thanks for any info.

There must be someone who has tried one of hotseat's 780 engine.Good or bad results,I'd like to hear what you guys have to say...Thanks for any info. :beerchug:

If no one else has and you do, you'll be the one everyone else will be asking the questions to! Engine -Tech also has similar set-up. I beleive their's only puts out somewhere around 144-145hp. You take a ves 700, throw a pipe on it w/ some porting, 140-145 hp depending on set-up. Polaris, a couple years back also offered a cyl. and pipe kit to convert non-ves to ves

A few years back a friend ran a Union Bay 780 big bore. Twin SLP pipes, it ran really well. Mikuni 40mm round slides. Very reliable and great power. He did several big bores for guys in western Canada, they ran very strong in hillclimb competition.

I believe Rob Tuluie ran a 780 Hot Seat in his "Tul-Aris" race bike. Don't remember any HP figures. Do a google search for Tularis or Tul-aris for more information.

Well got this thing together and it sounds a little meaner than the 700....Just need snow to see what this thing will do.Should be alot of fun.Thanks for the info guys and I'll let you guys know how I make out . :beerchug:

I have a 98 700 big bored to 800, twin pipes, ported, and dial-a-dome heads.
I've seen in my hands a dyno sheet for a identical motor (old bosses)..... 163hp

I have a Legend 780 145HP with stock pipe 160 with twins. Great motor still running strong after 5 years.
