I was up, it wasn't that great. They had absolutely no clothing or accessories. They had about a dozen sleds, a couple of Panthers, a Bearcat, one CF 8, a 370, a Jaguar, and a couple of F's 5&6. They had no 1000s or mountian sleds.
I say it was great but if it wasn't for the Atlantic rep pushing Cat there would have been nothing at all in Atlantic Canada. From what I hear there is no Polaris show either, surely between all the Atlantic provinces there are enough sleds sold to bring in a 4 full shows. I don't believe we are getting a fair shake, I believe our combined sales (4 provinces) justify a full scale show from each. The big four will be at the ISC meeting in Vermont this June and I hope to get the opportunity to talk to them about this.
Kudos to the Cat Rep. for at least trying to put a show together, but those sleds and no clothing or accessories wouldn't be enough to leave much of an impression.
The new C,F and M 1000's are really something to see in person, most people can't fully appreciate things, whether it's a new tire, bike or sled until it's in front of them first hand.
I agree we're getting a raw deal as far as new product shows go, but to the manufacturer it's mostly a numbers game. Unfortunately the last 2 winters haven't boosted the numbers, in fact the numbers are no doubt reduced. That may or may not change next winter. Maybe it's time we told the manufacturers ( all 4) how many loyal riders they each have in Atlantic Canada. If next winter is a bust snow wise there will be even less representation here.We better teach :fluffy: to reproduce.
