How much do you have to take off when you notch it? I have never done it before. Is it a lot of work, should I just say the heck with and get something different? Thanks for the help.

Part number for this track is polaris (camoplast) 5410946 - is this actually a 1.5 track?

1998 XC 600 is a Wedge body style with combination protectors and coolers mounted in the tunnel above the track.
part number 5410946 is a 121 x 15 x 1.5" track that superceded to a 2871369 121 x 15 x 1.5" track. Both are discontinued. They are not notched.

If its a 1.5'' track....you will need to notch it 1/2 an inch. We have done them with a nipper tool and a razor blade...they sell them with the cutting edge the width of the tunnel cooler. Should take about 30-60 minutes on a track like that.
