Full Version: Does the Crossfire have a lot of buzz in the bars?

Do you get a lot of engine vibration through the bars while cruising? How does it compare to the vibration in the F7 or REV 800? THanks.
Wood
non-issue
lildamion
No probs with vibration, but they do interfere with the instrumentation pannel
DamageInc
No.

Mine's quieter than my 03 F7.....engine doesn't sound as beefy as the 03. No more vibration either.
roughrider
Smooth.

Thanks for the reply's. Why do the F7's have such a nasty vibration in the bars at any speed? My REV has a little buzz but nowhere near as much as the F7.

I don't know, but maybe they changed something, or maybe there was something wrong with the one(s) that you rode? I did notice that the EB Crossfire I rode had a lot of vibes compared to my summer build C7 (especially at idle), but I don't know why. dunno.gif My C7 is actually very smooth for a 700 twin. Of course it shakes more than a triple does at idle, but it smooths out right above idle, and it is absolutely NOT an issue.

There's 3 different F7's one of them being an EXT in my group and I rode all 3 of them for a while and they all had that nasty buzz in the bars that drives my Carpal Tunnel crazy. Maybe the Crossfire is better because the bars are totally rubber coated or it's just that the chassis is stiffer.

Wow1.gif if you're really into vibrations go for a '05 Fusion. I rode one last season and I'm still shaking.....
