Full Version: SBT Signatures
Looks like we have enough signatures to go around Granholm's veto of eliminating the single busines tax early. We are the only state who has that tax.

The SBT is one of the many reasons why business's don't want to come to Michigan, and the ones that are here are looking elsewhere. Then you have the Granholm cronies pleading they want more money from business. Why would a business want to be in a state and have to pay more to operate.
Then she bumps the Min Wage and now the small business's that are struggling will either go belly-up, cut their work-force, or MOVE OUT OF THE STATE.
We not only need to get rid of Jenny, we need to get rid of Stabenow!

I am an AM Radio junkie. I try to stay up to speed on may issues. I think that overall Granholm hasn't done a bad job, but I still haven't and won't vote for her. He reasoning with the SBT situation made me want to puke. It'll be closs this fall, but she will probably go down. The Republicans took the min wage issue from her. Don't get me started on our Senators.....

High labor and the unions are the real reason. Even with the SBT, we only have the 10th highest business tax rate overall among states.
Then you have the Granholm cronies pleading they want more money from business. Why would a business want to be in a state and have to pay more to operate.
She doesn't want MORE money, she wants the same amounts to replace the eroding manufacturing base. She does not want to cut more spending on programs to make up for the short comings.

I see the republican controlled House and Senate did a 180 and passed the legislation unanimously. You don't think a alterior motive drove that? Hmm..
